Sackett's Land

Sackett's Land - Louis L'Amour I have always loved Lamour. Great characters and stories. I read this book years ago in high school. This book is the beginning of the Sackett family saga, one of the greatest families in literary history. The story is not quite a true western in that it starts in England and follows Barnabas Sackett to the frontier of the new world, America. All in all a great read. As with most Lamour books I got so caught up in the story I lost track of time. I finished the book in 2 days. you can't go wrong with this book. It is definitely not high literature but's that okay because it is a great story and easy read.
